FRIME in Śródmieście Południowe
We sit in the middle of the busiest stretch of Warsaw. One block off Marszałkowska, a short walk from Plac Konstytucji, Hala Koszyki and Łazienki Park. Wilcza 26 is our address from day one and we're not planning to move.
Where to find us exactly
Wilcza is a short but dense street that runs from Marszałkowska to Mokotowska. We're at number 26, ground floor, in one of those pre-war townhouses that survived the war and still carry the whole block. Shopfront facing the street, blue logo on the door, three stations inside. If you're in doubt, look for the big navy FRIME sign.
How to get here
By metro, the fastest is line M1 from Centrum, exit toward Plac Defilad, then walk south down Marszałkowska. Fifteen minutes. Politechnika (also M1) is even closer, twelve minutes through Plac Konstytucji. Trams 4, 18 and 35 stop at Krucza, one turn into Wilcza. Bus 107 runs along Hoża parallel to us, get off at Krucza. For drivers, the best bet is to park on Mokotowska or in the paid garage under Hala Koszyki. The whole area is paid-parking zone and spots free up slowly, count on fifteen extra minutes for hunting.
What's around
Five minutes on foot you have Plac Zbawiciela with its cafes and the Charlotte bakery, then Mokotowska with concept stores and third-wave coffee. Plac Trzech Krzyży with its boutiques, restaurants and the flagship Wedel chocolate shop is seven minutes away. Hala Koszyki, the restored 1908 market hall with a food court and the Mąka i Woda pizzeria, is ten minutes east. Plac Konstytucji with its socialist-realist MDM architecture is our nearest large landmark. Łazienki Park, with the pond, peacocks and the Palace on the Water, is twenty minutes on foot or seven by bike. On Wilcza and the neighboring Hoża, Wspólna and Piękna you'll find pizzerias, small bars, two bookshops, a few galleries and the kind of quiet cafes where you can wait for your visit or stay for lunch after.
Who our neighbors and clients are
Śródmieście Południowe is a mix you can't reduce to a single type. Students from the Politechnika, office people from Rondo Daszyńskiego and Mokotów, artists who didn't move out to Praga, and residents of the renovated apartments in old townhouses. All of them drop in. Someone before a meeting, someone after work, someone before an evening on Mokotowska. Sometimes tourists from the nearby hotels or people in town for a conference at the Palace of Culture. That's why we run a unisex model, why consultations are free, and why Booksy regularly fills up a week ahead.
First time in the area
If you've never been to Śródmieście Południowe, it's easy to pair the visit with something else. Breakfast on Mokotowska, we cut your hair, then a walk to Łazienki or a chocolate at Wedel on Plac Trzech Krzyży. Evenings the same route works backwards: drink at Hala Koszyki, then haircut, then dinner on Hoża. Three hours and you have a new look plus a good day in the city.
